Cell Site Analysis 2014
It has been a very busy year for the cell site analysis experts, who spend most of their time working against the clock producing urgent reports. We observed last year that timescales were becoming tighter, however this now seems to be the norm and our cell site analysis experts have come to expect each instruction as urgent and think it is a luxury if they are instructed early on a case.
Once again Footprint Investigations have been instructed on many of the high profile cases of 2014 featuring cell site analysis evidence and were instructed by both prosecution and defence.
We have also seen a large increase in the number of instructions to conduct cell site analysis independently of the Crown. Cell Site Analysis can provide compelling evidence and we have assisted many lawyers through the process of obtaining all of the relevant call data records direct from the network providers, even writing draft court orders so we are supplied with exactly what is needed to conduct cell site analysis either for their client, a victim or indeed a crucial witness. Obviously when introducing this evidence then attribution of the mobile phone is crucial.
We have also spent many evenings up and down the country conducting CPD training to numerous barristers’ chambers, many of them return visits to deliver our latest CPD course “Cell Site Analysis in Action”. There are changes ahead regarding CPD training however the cell site analysis experts will continue to be accredited by the Bar Standards Board. We will also continue to offer training to all legal professionals as there are constant changes to the industry and it is crucial to keep up to date with evidence which can be pivotal in many cases.
The cell site analysis experts at Footprint Investigations can assist with cell site analysis, mobile phone attribution, call pattern analysis as well as CPD and law enforcement training and we look forward to working with you in 2015.
